Miscarriage of Burden: Day 7

#Day7 of the Miscarriage of Burden: 12 Days of Education and Fundraising Against the Fetal Remains Rule. Today’s theme: redundancy for fetal remains already incinerated
Pantsuiters have raised $1600 for Planned Parenthood Texas in the first six days of our campaign. For those who have not contributed yet, please remember that your donations fund all women’s health services in clinics statewide and donate today!
(https://secure.ppaction.org/site/Donation2…). This takes you to a ‘dead link’ for PP, that says ‘Gulf Coast region’ but was the most expedient way to track all Pantsuit Republic donations.
Today we revisit Governor Abbott’s Fetal Remains Rule and House Bill 201. This rule and bill decree that all fetal remains, including those of miscarriages, be cremated or buried. Cremated remains must also be interred. Guess what? We are already incinerating fetal remains as a matter of public health. And women and their families, if they choose, can bury miscarried fetuses and receive charitable funeral services. So WHY the redundancy? While the narrative is to protect the sanctity of human life, Gov. Abbott certainly seems to have brazen disregard for the privacy and autonomy of the lives most painfully affected in this decision-making – those of mothers and families. Join us in the fight against this nonsense!
